The cottages are all tucked in for their winter's nap and the lake is forming its icy shield. Soon there will be ice fisherman seeking their catch. We may have something open this winter if you are interested. We are already taking reservations for next Spring/Summer fun! We look forward to seeing you!
Lakeside Melodies has finally entering the 21st century with a high speed fiber internet upgrade that is available to all the cottages. Our electric provider, Midwest Electric Cooperative, has been running new fiber cables throughout Southwest Michigan and they have been very active in our area in recent weeks. We now have at least 25MB/sec WiFi for all the cottages and even most of the outside areas. With the introduction of better WiFi, we are also upgrading all our Televisions to be Smart TVs. While we have discontinued our satellite TV service, now all cottages should be able to stream TV content. But who is watching TV here anyway? Maybe on rainy days.
We are now accepting Ripple, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies for payment for your stay with us! The financial world is changing and we want to keep up with the times. We know it is early, but for those of you that would like to participate in this new economy, we are ready. Just let us know which coin you prefer and we'll convert all or part of the rental fee to the current value. Once we agree on the type and amount of coins, we'll send you our public address. Welcome to the new world!
For all of you water rats........since our paddle boat passed away after 10 years of good service, we thought we should try something new: kayaks! We bought two pretty blue, stable sit-on-top unsinkable kayaks. The Lakeside Melodies fleet now counts 2 canoes, 2 kayaks and 3 row boats. Have fun!
